Malta's Mediterranean climate makes it an attractive location for film production year-round. The island enjoys over 300 days of sunshine annually, providing consistent natural lighting ideal for outdoor filming.
 

January - February: Winter in Malta is mild, with temperatures ranging from 50°F to 60°F (10°C to 15°C). There's occasional rain, but generally, the weather remains suitable for filming, especially for scenes requiring overcast settings.
 

March - April: Spring brings warmer temperatures, averaging between 55°F and 68°F (13°C to 20°C). The blooming landscapes offer vibrant backdrops, while longer days allow extended shooting hours.
 

May - June: As summer approaches, temperatures rise to 64°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). The skies are mostly clear, and rainfall is rare, making these months ideal for shooting expansive outdoor scenes, particularly around Malta's stunning beaches and historical sites.

July - August: The peak of summer sees temperatures soaring to 73°F to 89°F (23°C to 32°C). With the sun at its brightest, this period is perfect for capturing vivid, sun-drenched shots; however, precautions should be taken to protect equipment and personnel from the heat.
 

September - October: Autumn ushers in cooler temperatures, ranging from 68°F to 80°F (20°C to 27°C), with occasional showers. The softening sunlight provides a golden hue, perfect for capturing dramatic landscapes and sunsets.
 

November - December: In late autumn and early winter, temperatures drop slightly to 55°F to 68°F (13°C to 20°C). There's an increase in cloud cover and rainfall, adding versatility for productions seeking varied weather conditions.
